Stayed in this hostel for five nights. We had a terrible experience. Very uncomfortable, soft mattress, no ventilation in the room, the windows were fogging up and it was noisy at night from rubbish collectors. But the most unpleasant is the administrator Nestor. Very unfriendly and rude man. The whole thing is that when booking we looked to check-out time was before 12 hours, as it is important for us with a small child. However, we received a message on Watsap from Nestor that we had to leave before 11:30. When I went to clarify if we could check out as stated on the website, he grudgingly informed us that we had to check out as he had written. After a long argument he said ok, but that we should not be delayed a minute, but check out exactly before 12:00. The mood was spoilt for the whole evening and left a residue. In general, we will not go here again and do not recommend it to others.

Food was taken from our room -not impressed but on the plus side room was very handy to metro, plaza, restaurants. Room was located in a separate building to reception and had a small lift. Room simple and adequate to needs just disappointed in theft during cleaning.

Excellent Hotel in Centre of Madrid Staff Very Friendly and Helpful Rooms Clean and Perfect It was Cold in Madrid and the Heating was Brilliant when We returned from a Night on the Lash...My Friend had Black Pudding for Breakfast and said it was Excellent..On Check in we were told a couple of Places to Eat and there were great. The Wanderly Wagon was Excellent.. Will for Sure Return.

It is an adequate hostal like others in Madrid. The rooms are ordinary but the bathrooms were really clean. It has 2 advantages, though. First, it is between Plazas Mayor and Sol, a very short walk to reach either one. Second, the staff allow you to leave your luggage free of charge. Hotels offer this accommodation but not all hostals. This is makes it an ideal base for tourists who want to visit the Castile area of Spain or even those who want to go on the Camino Portugues or Frances. The staff were very accommodating, to the point that they even offered to store in their refrigerator the perishables we bought before we arrived in Spain.

The hostal is basic, affordable and conveniently located. The staff is not extremely helpful, and the rooms are not very soundproof either. Good to visit if you are on a budget trip, not sure if I would recommend if you really need a decent sleep on a comfortable bed.
